Snippet 3 – Persona writing(Pearl!)

Pearl had the appearance of an angel and the heart of a goddess. Her light mocha hair swayed softly, tied in rows of braids, silky and smooth to the touch. She plasters bows everywhere around her. On her waist, her head and on her chest. She twirls around in her garden every morning, her head thrown back in awe and her laced-filled dress trailing after her thighs.

The roses, lilies and orchids always move their heads toward her direction whenever they hear the soft crunch of nature beneath her boots. Like a carefree princess, she sprinkles water onto the roots, singing as she does so, helping the flowers bloom. Sometimes, when she makes her way outside, she pauses even if she’s in a hurry just to pet abandoned, shivering strays on the streets.

Expectedly, the kittens purr and arch their body towards Pearl, aching for her gentle caress. Pearl always brought food for the strays, hence they saw her as their mother, rubbing their fluffy bodies against her calves. Pearl never regretted doing what she did. She was always friendly, rarely angry, and took her time to admire and care for the world.

That was what’s beautiful about her character. She always had her smile stretched across her lips, never a frown. She does what people seldom do ever— singing to plants, feeding the strays, facing hardships with positivity and determination. That’s some unique traits I gave Pearl as a character. She’s beautiful not only on the outside, but deep within her heart.
